Terms of Cooperation
Version 1.4 · effective 6 October 2026
These terms apply to every website we design and build for you. Our written quote states which version of these terms applies; when you accept the quote, you agree to that version. The Greek version is the original; this is a translation.
1. Who we are
Pageluma and Karajohn Group are trade names of KARAJOHN GROUP Ι.Κ.Ε. (Karajohn Group P.C., in formation), a Greek private company, registered office Κιλελέρ 11, 71414 Heraklion, Crete, Greece, currently being registered; its ΓΕΜΗ and VAT numbers will be published here once registration is complete and appear on every quote and invoice. Contact: pageluma@karajohnhosting.com.
2. Free preview
Once we have the information and material we need, we build a working preview of your website's homepage within 2–3 business days. The preview is free and non-binding: we ask for no deposit, and you can stop at any time at no cost.
The preview runs at a private address, is not shown to search engines and remains ours until you pay. If we don't hear from you for 30 days, it may be deleted.
3. Quote and contract
With or after the preview we send you a written quote stating the pages and features, the final price, any third-party costs, the delivery time and the version of these terms. The contract is made when you accept the quote in writing (by email or signature).
4. Changes
Changes within the agreed scope are included in the price until you approve the website. New pages or features outside the quote are priced first and only done if you agree.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are in euros. For private customers the quote always shows the final price including VAT; for businesses it states whether VAT is included. Our standard packages and their prices are listed on our website; the price that applies to you is the one in your quote.
You pay when you approve the website, before it goes live, by bank transfer or card, within 7 days of approval. We issue a legal receipt or invoice for every payment. The website is published once it is paid. For online stores and projects over €2,000 excluding VAT we ask for 40% of the price when you accept the quote and the rest when you approve the website; the quote states this.
Third-party costs — such as the domain, paid themes or plugins, payment services — are listed separately in the quote and paid by you. Hosting is paid separately, as described in section 6.
6. Publishing, hosting and domain
The website is published on Karajohn Hosting and managed by us from Pageluma's account. You pay the hosting directly to Karajohn Hosting through a payment link we send you, monthly or yearly (a year costs the same as 10 months). When you pay, you accept the Karajohn Hosting Terms of Service, which govern the hosting; the subscription renews automatically and you can stop it at any time by writing to pageluma@karajohnhosting.com. If it isn't paid, the website is suspended under those terms.
The domain is registered in your name, with the details you give us. If we register it for you, the first year is included in the project price; from the second year it renews on the card you use for the hosting, at the renewal price shown on the payment page, 14 days before it expires, and you can stop the renewal at any time. Whenever you ask, we transfer the website to your own Karajohn Hosting account, or give you its files and database to move it elsewhere.
7. Ownership
Once paid in full, the website we built for you — the design, the code and the content we created — is yours, with the right to use, change and move it. Open-source software (such as WordPress), fonts, plugins and third-party photos are subject to their own licences.
We may show your website (a link or screenshot) among our work unless you tell us not to.
8. Your content
You provide the texts, logo and photos and guarantee that you have the right to use them. You are responsible for the website's content and for your business's own legal texts (for example a privacy notice or online-shop terms). We can give you basic templates, but we don't give legal advice.
9. Personal data on your website
For the personal data of your visitors and customers (for example from forms or orders) you are the controller. When we build or maintain your website we act as your processor (Art. 28 GDPR): we process the data only for the project and on your instructions, keep it confidential, apply appropriate security measures, tell you without delay about any breach, help you answer data subjects' requests and, when we stop working together, delete or return the data. For hosting, the data processing terms of Karajohn Hosting apply.
10. Accessibility
We build websites to the main accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.1 level AA) for text, colours, navigation and forms. If your business has a legal accessibility obligation (for example some online shops), tell us so it is included in the quote.
11. Warranty
For 30 days after launch we fix free of charge anything that doesn't work as agreed. Not covered: changes made by you or third parties, new requests, or changes in third-party services.
12. Care & updates
Monthly maintenance is optional: Care €29 + VAT a month (€35.96 incl. VAT) — updates, a backup check, uptime monitoring and 30 minutes of changes a month; Care Plus €59 + VAT (€73.16 incl. VAT) — the same, plus 2 hours of changes, a monthly report and a reply by the next business day. Unused time does not carry over. Extra work costs €35 + VAT an hour (€43.40 incl. VAT), always agreed first. A yearly plan costs the same as 10 months.
You can stop it at any time, effective from the end of the current month; for a yearly plan we refund the unused full months.
13. Right of withdrawal (private customers)
If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of accepting the quote, without giving a reason, by a clear message to pageluma@karajohnhosting.com. For most projects you pay nothing until you approve the website. If you paid a deposit (online stores), we refund it within 14 days of your withdrawal, less only the work done if you asked us to start within the 14 days.
If you expressly ask us to start work within the 14 days, you pay only for the work done until you withdraw. Once the website has been fully delivered with your approval, the right of withdrawal ends, provided you acknowledged this when accepting the quote.
14. Liability
We work with care, but we are not liable for indirect damage or lost profits, nor for outages of third-party services. Our total liability for a project is limited to the amount you paid for it. This limit does not apply to intent or gross negligence and does not restrict your statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Ending the cooperation
Before approval, either of us can stop at no cost. After the quote is accepted, private customers have the withdrawal rights above; businesses pay for the work done up to the end; any deposit is set against that amount and the rest is refunded.
16. Governing law
Greek law applies and the courts of Heraklion have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live and can also contact the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή) for out-of-court resolution.
17. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms in the future. Each project is governed by the version stated in the quote you accepted.
